Overview of Full Circle Mills
Full Circle Mills (FCM) is a unique handcrafted furniture company. Using rescued logs from the local community, FCM mills, kiln-dries and handcrafts one-of-a-kind furniture for homeowners and businesses. Become part of a community of craftsmen who are making an environmental difference by keeping logs out of chippers, while also delivering beautiful heirloom furniture to its customers. You will find our unique art and furniture at vineyards, local restaurants and businesses and as conversation pieces in local homes. We are growing fast and looking for someone who can manage our lumberyard and learn the art and business of a local woodworker.

Must be in good, physical shape

Has an interest in craftsmanship and learning the trade of woodworking
Great attention to detail
Is a great problem solver
Loves Math and excels at making precise measurements and calculations
Can operate heavy equipment like a loader and forklift
Understands mechanical advantage techniques
Can operate a chainsaw safely and efficiently
Must be able to lift 100 pounds routinely and easily
Is organized and manages time and materials well
Likes to learn and takes constructive criticism well
Is a man or woman of your word
Must pass a drug test
Must have an active, unrestricted driver’s license
Preferred but not required to haul and pick up logs
Job Requirements (We offer training)
Mechanical servicing and cleaning of all equipment and machinery
Manage customer jobs according to an organized schedule
Manage the milling team to complete milling jobs on time and on budget
Managing the drying kiln projects to complete on time and on budget
Loading product into and out of kiln
Loading finished product for delivery
Move heavy slabs and keep the mill yard organized
Help prepare & set up machines and tooling
Remove sawdust and other debris from production equipment
Keeping the yard clean and organized
Oil change, change blade, grease zerk, & clean out air filters
Load and unload lumber from trucks and forklifts
Sort and arrange logs and timber according to sizes and wood type to allow for easy identification
Utilize specialized equipment such as kiln in effectively drying seasoned lumber
Use barkers to strip barks from wood logs to allow for easy cutting and processing
Measure and indicate cutting lines on timber
Maintain accurate record of job operations as well as up-to-date inventory
Ensure proper disposal of waste materials on completion of job operation
Listen for unusual sounds or detect excessive vibration in machinery
Safety and experience with carpentry saws (chainsaws, skill saw, etc.)
Operate woodworking, milling, and sanding machines
Use hand tools to trim pieces or assemble products
Lift wood pieces onto machines, either by hand or with hoists
HOURS AND COMPENSATION
Part-time to begin but can lead to full-time
Compensation is based on experience and skill level.
